NYC Governor Paterson (a Clinton Supporter) Sees 'Desperation' By Clinton, Disagrees On Florida And Michigan
While he stressed that he continues to support Clinton and will do so until "she makes a different determination," Paterson, a superdelegate, said he doesn't believe the DNC should change the rules after the fact on Florida and Michigan and added that he's not buying her claims about leading the popular vote if the ballots cast in those states were counted.
"I would say at this point we're starting to see a little desperation on the part of the woman who I support and I'll support until whatever time she makes a different determination," Paterson said, adding: "I thought she was the best candidate and I thought she had the best chance of winning."
Paterson, who is a DNC committee member and was present at the meeting when a vote was taken to penalize Florida and Michigan for moving their respective primaries ahead of the traditional starting contests in New Hampshire and Iowa, said he thought that decision was "a little unfair" and he "didn't agree with it at the time."
But he also noted "nobody was screaming" after that decision was made, although some people were unhappy with it, adding:
"There was a process. I thought at the time everybody agreed to it. I didn't hear any objections from the candidates...So I would think the Democratic National Committee would leave it where it is."
On Clinton's claims regarding the popular vote and likening the fight to set the Florida and Michigan delegates to the civil rights movement, Paterson said:
"You have to rule out the undecideds in Michigan. You have to assume she won 100 percent to nothing in Michigan. I don't think anybody in their right mind would do that, nor would they see it as a civil rights issue."
Paterson's comments came in response to the first question posed to him by a caller named "Casey," who sounded like a supporter of Barack Obama. She asked Paterson whether he would switch his support to Obama since his Oregon win and, if not, if he would "defend" Clinton's argument on Florida and Michigan.

MccainPedia: A project of the Democratic Party
[ wi·ki -noun- plural wikis : A collaborative website whose content can be edited by anyone(this wiki though is read only you can't edit it) who has access to it. ]
-run by the DNC's Research, Communications, and Internet teams. The goal is to centralize research material, allowing the general public to use it as they see fit
Why is this site here?
The Democratic Party continues to lead the way in using the Internet to change politics. In the past, research by candidates and political parties was hidden from the public and couldn't be accessed by voters trying to figure out how they should vote, by activists looking to influence the election, or by bloggers trying to find good research to help write their blogs. With this resource, which will be constantly updated with additional material through the election, we are embracing the idea that opening up our resources is the best way to engage voters and elect a Democrat to the White House.
Wikis have become the best way for a team of people to collaborate and share knowledge with one another. Not only have we seen this with Wikipedia, which is the world's largest encyclopedia, by also in government with projects such as Intellipedia, which -- though not open to the public -- is used by various agencies in the Intelligence community in order to share information.
...
Why a John McCain wiki?
John McCain has been anything but transparent during the course of his campaign. From tax returns that he refuses to disclose to his failure to fully explain how he's going to pay for his massive tax cuts for corporations, he's attempting to avoid very basic levels of scrutiny. Because his goal is to hide facts about his policies and his record, we've made those available to everybody so that the American people can see for themselves that John McCain is offering a third Bush term."

Ferraro suggests she may not vote for her party in the Fall! ... only if Obama is the Democrat nominee (Ferraro -the modern day Judas?)
In 1984 Geraldine Ferraro was the first woman to run for Vice-President. She was on the Democrat ticket with Walter Mondale who was the Democrat running for President.
Now she is a Hillary Clinton supporter/surrogate. I can say this, I may disagree with Hillary Clinton but I have MUCH more respect for her than Mrs. Ferraro especially after Ferraro earlier in the campaign said that Obama was only winning because he is a black man.
She truly is a class-LESS act.
Now she says that she might not even VOTE FOR OBAMA IF HE IS THE DEMOCRAT NOMINEE IN THE FALL!

Clinton Claims She Won't Send Military Contracts Overseas -- But She Did
excerpt from a 04/28/08 Huffington Post article:
"On Sunday, Sen. Hillary Clinton was asked to opine about the loss of jobs in Indiana and elsewhere, and whether that economic trend was irreversible. Her answer, which included a call to have manufacturing at the center of any economic revitalization, ended with the New York Democrat warning about the perils of sending military production overseas.
In January 2005, Clinton deftly maneuvered -- from her perch on the Senate Armed Services Committee -- a multi-billion-dollar contract to buy presidential helicopters from a consortium including European companies...
... That deal involved rewarding a $6.1 billion contract to the England based AgustaWestland and Lockheed Martin to build 23 high-tech Marine One helicopters -- the President's chopper. Clinton pursued the measure, doggedly, because it meant more than 700 new jobs for her home state...
... While Sen. Chris Dodd, whose jurisdiction also includes the Sikorsky plant, offered an amendment that would have made foreign companies who developed the Marine One helicopter pledge to not conduct business with state sponsors of terrorism. AgustaWestland officials had attended an air show in Iran. Clinton, along with Sen. Chuck Schumer, however, maneuvered to kill Dodd's amendment ... "
National Environmental Group Endorses Barack Obama for President
“We endorse Senator Obama because we believe he is the best candidate for the environment,” said Friends of the Earth Action President Brent Blackwelder. “The ‘gas tax holiday’ debate is a defining moment in the presidential race. The two other candidates responded with sham solutions that won’t ease pain at the pump, but Senator Obama refused to play that typical Washington game. Instead, Obama called for real solutions that would make transportation more affordable and curb global warming. He showed the courage and candor we expect from a president.”
Experts agree that gas prices are likely to decline only slightly under a Clinton-McCain “gas tax holiday”—if they decline at all. Instead of signing onto this gimmick, Obama has called for long-term solutions that would limit oil consumption by requiring cars to be more fuel efficient and expanding transportation options including passenger rail.
Blackwelder cited Obama’s strong pro-environment record, his policy proposals, the profile he has given global warming in his campaign, and the broad mandate he is building for change as other reasons for the endorsement. Obama earned a 96 percent rating from the League of Conservation Voters during his first two years in the Senate. Blackwelder said Friends of the Earth Action plans to inform its more than 100,000 activists in the U.S. about its support for Obama and to campaign for him in remaining primaries.
Friends of the Earth Action previously endorsed John Edwards in the Democratic primary process and engaged in early state independent expenditures on his behalf."
